This weekend I went 'home' which is so weird to say, because my house was empty. I luckily had my two buddies to help me say goodbye. Although all i planned to do was sit on the floor and cry, Katie asked if she could bring her camera. I wasn't quite sure how i felt about that but it ended up being so good. Instead of sitting and crying until there were no more tears we ran around my house and took a bunch of pictures. Some reveal what an emotional event it was but others just made even more memories in a house already filled with so many others. Home is so much more than a building. It is a place where people you love are and memories are made.
Here's just a short list of some of my favorite memories inside 1616 Ashford Oaks Ct:
- Drawing all over the floors with a bunch of friends before the new floors were put in! whoever rips up those beautiful tile floors will discover some art!
- Rollerblading in the basement with Al and other neighbors way back when
- Pancake Parties!
- Long talks on the front porch and countless walks around the neighborhood late at night
- Doing homework at the kitchen table with Al, while Ma made dinner
- Building the shelves in my room with my Pawpaw
- All the times I fell up the stairs
