Final Thoughts from Sex God

I finished Sex God last night and here are the last couple things that caught my attention.
  • The following list is how believers are described by Paul in Ephesians 1-3:
WE ARE CHOSEN, WE ARE BLESSED, WE ARE PREDESTINED, WE ARE FORGIVEN, WE ARE REDEEMED, WE ARE MARKED, WE HAVE BEEN MADE ALIVE, WE ARE SAVED, WE ARE SEATED WITH, WE ARE BROUGHT NEAR.... WE ARE A COMMUNITY
  • As i read "we have to be very careful what we share. Because once you give it away, you no longer have it," it came to a very casual level, in that anything i share with people- a song, a funny story, whatever- somehow looses value each time. It can be something simple or something huge but it just reminded me how talking is overrated-even though i thoroughly enjoy it as a way of communication.
  • At one point, Rob talks about being naked, in the sense of being true and honest and completely you. he talks about the risks we take on in doing just that, hoping that people will love us for all the things that make us truly us.
  • finally, rob mentions that when Christ comes, he will take us residence with his children on earth. the cool part is that there will be no sun, no electricity, no means of light except the GLORY of the Father!! How cool is that. the point was also made that light exposes everything, there will be no hiding from God- I don't think I'd want to.
Thanks Grace for letting me read your book!
Next I'm on to read another chunk of CrazyLove
