Contentment

Contentment... what does it really mean?

So Saturday, I was sitting at walmart waiting for a few friends to finish up their shopping. While sitting there I started talking to this older couple; we talked very generally and when my age came up the woman said "That's old enough to get married and start a family." Which of course was followed by the man saying "do you have a nice young boy in your life" to which I hesitated. He followed with "its hard to find one these days"- i agreed and they offered this piece of encouragement "just draw close to the Lord and one day the perfect man will walk into your life."

It just amazed that this couple, who didn't know anything more about my life than some generic facts: i am a Truman student, i am 21 years old, and i want to become an audiologist...would be such an encouragement. God in all his awesomeness put them in my life as a reminder of contentment. Here. now. in this moment. in this place. My father, my creator, my provider loves and cares for me and it is only through him that i will be fully happy, exuding with joy.
